Investment

Because it is a learned behavior, it can take multiple visits with a skilled professional to establish and maintain breastfeeding. This is an investment in your health, your baby’s health, and your relationship with your baby that can pay dividends indefinitely. What’s more, you will benefit from support through the process to help you determine the best balance for your family.

Mother breastfeeding baby

Fortunately, health insurance is an option for many families.

The Golden Hour works with a third party, The Lactation Network, who has negotiated contracts with a number of insurers in Delaware to cover the full cost of lactation support for the duration of breastfeeding. Insurance may be billed through the mother or the infant, once the baby is born. Find out if you’re covered here.

Check Insurance

In the event your insurance is not contracted with The Lactation Network, we can provide a superbill that you can submit to request reimbursement. Payments will be billed to your credit card after each session.
